Walking with Purpose is a Catholic Bible study program that aims to bring women to a deeper personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We offer personal study and small group discussion that link our everyday challenges and struggles with the solutions given to us through the teachings of Christ and the Catholic Church.
Longing for connection to live a Christian life? Connection to God and to other women? Walking with Purpose invites all women to journey through Scripture together and build relationships that matter! Join us for Walking with Purpose starting October 23rd, 7:00-8:30pm in the church conference rooms. Meets weekly for 22 weeks with the break for the holidays.
Baptisms are scheduled by contacting the parish office at 317-255-4534. Usually, they are held on the second and fourth Sunday’s of the month at 12:15 p.m.
At St. Pius X, we prepare our second grade children to celebrate the Eucharist for the first time, usually during the Easter season. For older children, contact Mary Mehringer at 317-466-3365. You may sign up for First Eucharist and First Reconciliation Sacramental preparation at this registration link.
First Reconciliation is celebrated prior to First Eucharist, usually in the late Fall. Second grade children are prepared in the parish school and at Sunday Children’s Faith Formation. For older children who have not celebrated Reconciliation, contactMary Mehringer.
This third Sacrament of Initiation celebrates the gift of the Holy Spirit coming down on the candidates. The Holy Spirit gives us the knowledge and courage to do what we can't learn from school or our extracurricular activities, including making decisions that will change our lives or guiding a friend through their struggles. Those interested in learning more about the Holy Spirit can begin preparation in the Fall, starting in 8th grade or above, and will be confirmed in the Spring of the same year. The Youth Ministry Office coordinates this preparation and is looking for speakers willing to show how the Holy Spirit is working in their life.
If you have any questions or would like to help with this process, please call at 317-466-3365 or email: Mary Mehringer
If you have a child in the 6th, 7th, or 8th grade who would like to join EDGE or a child in high school who would like to join High School Youth Ministry. If you have questions regarding EDGE or HS Youth Ministry, contact Matthew LaFountain
